let length be 3x cm and breadth be 2x cm
so \: area \: be \: = 3x \times 2x = 6 {x}^{2}  {cm}^{2}
now
6 {x}^{2} = 216 \\ or. \: {x}^{2} = \frac{216}{6} = 36 \\ or. \: x = \sqrt{36} = 6 \: \: \\ (as \: length \: cannot \: be \: negative)
now length be = 3×6= 18 cm and breadth be =2×6 = 12 cm
so perimeter of the rectangle be =2(18+12)= 2×30 =60 cm
