The length and breadth of a rectangle are in the ratio 4 : 1. Find the area of the rectangle,
if the length is 64 m.

Ratio of length to breadth = 4 : 1

Given : Length = 64 m

Let breadth be x

As we know,

Length / Breadth = 4/1

∴ 64 / x = 4 / 1

∴ x = Breadth = 16m

∴ Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

                                  = 64 × 16

                                  = 1024 m²

∴ Area of rectangle  = 1024 m²
