The length and breadth of a rectangle are in the ratio 4 : 3. If the diagonal measures 25 cm then find the perimeter of the rectangle.

Let length = 4x

Breadth = (3/4)*4x = 3x

Length² + Breadth² = 25²

(4x)² + (3x)² = 25²

16x²  + 9x² = 25²

25x² = 25*25

x² = 25

x = 5

Length = 4x = 4*5 = 20 cm

Breadth = 3x = 3*5 = 15 cm

Diagonal = 25 cm

Perimeter = 20+15+25 = 60 cm
