let the common multiple be x therefore there ratio ofo length be 5x and breath be 2x

since given ,

perimeter=2(length + breath)

98=2(5x + 2x)

98=10x + 4x

98=14x

x =98/14

x=7

therefore ,length=5x= 5*7 = 35 units

breath = 2x = 2*7 = 14units

hence area of rectangle

=length * breath

=35*14

=490 unit sq
