Solution :

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

$400 = 2 \: (l + b) \\ 400 = 2(x + 26 + x) \\ 400 = 2(2x + 26) \\ 400 = 4x + 52 \\ 4x = 400 - 52 \\ 4x = 348 \\ x = \frac{348}{4} \\ x = 87$
