the length and breadth of a rectangle are x,y respectively. the area of the rectangle gets reduced by 9 square units, if it's length is reduced by 5 units and breadth is increased by 3 units. then the equation we get is​

Area of a rectangle= L x B

=xy

So,

xy - 9 = (x-5)(y+3)
