Length (l)=40m

Breadth (b)=30m

For a rectangular field, diagonal (d):

d2=l2+b2

d2=402+302

d2=1600+900

d2=2500

d=50 m

OR

given :-

Length of the rectangular garden = 60m

breadth of the rectangular garden = 40m

therefore it's diagonal = √(60)²+(40)²

= √(3600+1600)

= √5200

= 72.11m (approx)

hence, the diagonal of the rectangle is 72.11m.
