Answer:

Reactangle length = 36 cm

Reactangle breadth = 28 cm

Perimeter of Reactangle

= 2(length + breadth)

= 2(36 +28)

= 2*64)= 128 cm

Let length of square is s

Then Perimeter of Square = 4*s

Given,

4*s = 128

s = 128/4 = 32

Side of square = 32 cm

Answer:

Side of square = 32 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Formulas used:

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)
  • Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Solution:

★ According to the given question,

Perimeter of rectangle = Perimeter of square

⇒ 2 (Length + Breadth) = 4 × side

⇒ 2 (36 + 28) = 4 × side

⇒ 2 (64) = 4 × side

⇒ Side = (64 × 2) ÷ 4

⇒ Side = 32 cm

∴ Side of square = 32 cm

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • A square is a quadrilateral in which all sides are equal and each angle measures 90°
  • Area of square = (side)²
  • A rectangle is a quadrilateral in which only the opposite sides are equal and each angle measures 90°
  • Area of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)
