Given : The length and breadth of a rectangular container is 60 cm and 30 cm respectively. If 22.5 L of water is poured into the container, then what is the level of water in the container ?

Solution :-

We know that,

  • 1 liter = 1000cm³

so,

→ Volume of water = 22.5 litre = 22.5 * 1000 = 22500 cm³.

Now, let us assume that, The level ( Height ) of water in the container is h cm.

We know that,

  • Volume of cuboid = Length × Breadth × Height .

Putting all values we get,

→ 60 * 30 * h = 22500

→ 1800h = 22500

→ 18h = 225

→ h = 225/18

→ h = 12.5 cm. (Ans.)

Hence ,The level of water in the container is 12.5 cm.
