The length and breadth of a rectangular field are 400 m and 225 m. Find the length of the wire required to fence it. Also find the cost of fencing at ₹ 7 per m.

Length of the rectangular field = 400 m

Breadth of the rectangular field = 225 m

Perimeter of the field = 2(length + breadth )

                                    =2(400 + 225 )

                                    =2*625

                                    = 1250 m

Therefore length of the wire required to fence = 1250 m

Therefore cost of fencing per meter = 7 rupees

Then the cost of fencing field = 7 * 1250

                                                 = 8750 rupees
