Answer:

let breadth of rectangle be X

then length be 2X

area of rectangle = ( L X B)

according to question :

2x X x= 450 sq cm

2x^2 = 450

x ^2 = 450/2

x ^2 = 225

x = √225

X =15 CM

length = 2 X 15 = 30 cm

ANSWER:

  • Length of rectangular field = 30 m

GIVEN:

  • length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio 2:1.
  • If the area of the field is 450 sq. metres

TO FIND:

  • Length of rectangle

SOLUTION:

Let the ratio of length and breadth be 2x and x.

Formula:

Area of rectangle = (length)(Breadth)

=> Area of rectangle = 450 m²

=> length*Breadth = 450 m²

=> (2x)(x) = 450

=> 2x² = 450

=> x² = 450/2

=> x² = 225

=> x = √225

=> x = 15

Here :

Length of rectangle = 2x

= 2(15)

= 30 m

Breadth of rectangle = x

= 15 m

  • Length of rectangle = 30 m
  • Length of rectangle = 30 mBreadth of rectangle = 15 m
