Answer:

length 30cm

breadth 20cm

Step-by-step explanation:

let common ratio be x

length 5x

breadth 4x

perimeter 108 cm

2(5x+4x) 108cm

2*9x  108cm

18x  108cm

x  108/18

x  6

length 5x

5*6

length 30cm

breadth 4x

4*6

bradth 20cm

Given:-

Ratios of length and breadth = 5:4

Perimeter = 108 m

Find:-

Dimensions of the field = ?

Solution:-

Let the length = 5x

And breadth = 4x

As we know,

Formula to find perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Put the given values.

108 = 2(5x+4x)

108 = 2(9x)

108 = 18x

\dfrac{108}{18} = x

108 is divisible by 18.

(18 \times 6=108)

6=x

The value of x = 6

Length = 5x = 5 \times 6 = 30 m

Breadth = 4x = 4 \times 6 = 24 m

Dimensions of the field are 30m, 24m
