  • The cost of reaping the field at 01.5 per sq. metre.

Let length be 7x

& the breadth be 9x

We know , the perimeter = 2( l + b )

The perimeter of rectangular field is 496.

➝ 2(7x + 9x) = 496 m

➝ 2 × 16x = 496

➝ 32x = 496

➝ x = 496 /32

x = 15.5 m

The length be 7x = 7 × 15.5 = 108.5

The breadth be 9x = 9 × 15.5 = 139.5

We know , the area of rectangle = l × b

➝ 108.5 × 139.5

15135.75 m²

The cost of reaping the field at 01.5 per sq. metre.

➝ 15135.75 × 01.5

22703.625 rupees
