The length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio of 3:2. if the perimeter of the field is 80 m, find its breadth ( in metres).​

and the breadth be 2x

Given, perimeter of rectangular field = 80 m –––(1)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b) ––––(2)

On equating eq.(1) and eq.(2)

2(l+b) = 80

2(3x+2x) = 80

2×5x = 80

10x = 80

x = 8 m

Therefore, the length becomes 24 m.

and the breadth becomes 16 m.
