Given :

The length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio 3:2.

To Find :

If the perimeter of the field is 250 m,find the cost of reaping the field at rupees 15 per 50 m2

Solution:

Let the ratio be x

Length of field = 3x

Breadth of field = 2x

Perimeter of field =2(l+b)=2(3x+2x)=10x

Perimeter of field = 250

So, 250 = 10 x

25=x

Length of field = 3x =3(25)=75

Breadth of field = 2x =2(25) =50

Area of filed = Length \times Breadth = 75 \times 50 =3750 m^2

Cost of reaping the field 1 sq.m. = Rs.15

Cost of raping the field 3750 sq.m. = 15 \times 3750 =56250

Hence The cost of reaping the field is 56250
