Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let length = 5x and breadth = 2x

perimeter = 2(length + breadth)

                 = 2(5x + 2x)

                 = 14x

cost of fencing = Rs. 12.5/m

total cost = Rs. 25000

thus, perimeter = 25000/12.5 = 2000m

so, 14x = 2000m

x = 2000/14

length = 5x = 5(2000/14)

                  = 10000/14 = 714.285m

breadth = 2x = 2(2000/14)

                    = 4000/14 = 285.714m

Soln :-

Let the length and breadth

be 5x and 2x respectively

Perimeter =2(l+b)

=2(5x +2x)

=14x

Perimeter =25000/12.5
=2000m

A/q,

14x=2000

=>x=2000/14

=1000/7 m

length=5x=5×1000/7

=5000/7

=714.285m

breadth=2x

=2×1000/7

=285.714 m
