the length and breadth of a rectangular field is in the ratio 4 is to 3 if its area is 3072 metre square then find the cost of fencing it @ rupees 4 per metre

let the length be 4x and breadth be 3x
area =lengtg×breadth
3072=(4x ×3x)
3072=12x^2
3072/12=x^2
256=x^2
x=√256
x=16
so length=4×16=64
and breadth=3×16=48

perimeter of the field=2(l+b)
=2(64+48)
=2×112
=224m

cost of fencing 1m=₹4
cost of fencing 228m=4×224=₹896

= 4x  x  3x = 3072
=12x^2= 3072
=x^2= 256
=x=16 m.
so the sides are= 4x= 64m
                    and= 3x= 48m.
the perimeter of the field = 2 (l+b) 
                                        = 2 (64+48)
                                        = 2 x 112
                                        = 224 cm
the cost of fencing= 224 x 4
                             =  Rs. 896
