Given :-

• The length and Breath of a rectangular field are in the ratio 5 : 3

• The perimeter of the field is 640m

Solution :-

Let the ratios be 5x and 3x

The perimeter of rectanglular field = 640m

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + B)

Put the required values,

640 = 2 ( 5x + 3x)

640 = 2 * 8x

640 = 16x

x = 640/16

x = 40

The length of the rectangular field

= 5x = 5 * 40 = 200m

The Breath of the rectanglular field

= 3x = 3 * 40 = 120m

Now,

As we know that,

Area of rectangle = Length * Breath

Therefore,

Area of rectanglular field = 200 * 120

Area of rectangular field = 2400m^2 .

Hence, The area of rectangular field is 2400m^2 .

Step-by-step explanation:

ratio of the rectangular field= 5:3

length= 5x and Breadth= 3x

perimeter= 640m= 2(5x+3x)

640m= 10x+6x

640m= 16x

x= 640/16= 40m

5x= 5×40= 200m

3x= 3×40= 120m ans
