Step-by-step explanation:

let the length and breadth be 5x and 3y respectively

now,

2(l+b)=perimeter

2(5x+3x)=160

16x=160

:. x = 160/16=10

now, length=5x=5*10= 50

breadth= 3x=3*10= 30

Answer-: Given Data L / B = 5/3

So, L=5B/3

and we Have 2(L+B) = 160

or, putting the value of L in this equation we get,

=> 5B/3 +B = 80

or, 8B = 240

or, B = 30

and putting the value of B in L = 5B/3

we get B = 50
