The length And breadth of a rectangular garden is 70 × 50 respectively .To fix fence wires in her garden, Anaiah bought metal pipes for posts. She fixed a post every 5 metres apart. Each post was 2 m long. What is the total length of the pipes bought for the posts?

Answer:

perimeter of garden = 2(l+b)

= 2(70+50)

= 2(120)

= 240 units

No. Of Pipes = perimeter/distance with two pipes 240/5 = 48 pipes

Total Length Of pipe = no. of Pipes × length of one pipe = 48 × 2 = 96 m
