Step-by-step explanation:

Length =4.6 m

Breadth=2.4m

Area = length ×breadth

=4.6×2.4

=11.04

Cost of metal per square meter = 2.50

cost of rectangular sheet = Area × cost of metal per square meter

=11.04×2550

=27.6 rupees

Therefore, the cost of rectangular sheet is 27.6 rupees

Given :-

Length of the metal sheet = 4.6 m

Breadth of the metal sheet = 2.4 m

Cost of metal per m² = Rs. 2.50

To Find :-

Area of the rectangular metal sheet.

The total cost of the metal sheet.

Analysis :-

At first, using it's respective formula find the area of the rectangular sheet.

Multiply the cost per meter to the area.

Solution :-

We know that,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth
  • a = Area

By the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Area \ of \ rectangle=Length \times Breadth}}

Given that,

Length (l) = 4.6 m

Breadth (b) = 2.4 m

Substituting their values,

Area = 4.6 × 2.4

Area = 11.04 m²

Given that,

Cost of metal per m² = Rs. 2.50

Cost of rectangular sheet = Area × Cost per meter

Substituting them,

Cost of rectangular sheet = 11.04 × 2.50

Cost = Rs. 27.60

Therefore, the cost of  rectangular sheet is Rs. 27.60
