The length and breadth of a  rectangular  park are in the ratio 5:3 and its perimeter is 128 m.
Find the area of the park

maryjessicka: Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b), given length and breadth in ration 5:3, therefore l=5x and b=3x. 2(5x+3x)=128 => 2(8x) =128 => 16x = 128 =>x=8. l = 5*8 = 40 and b= 3*8 = 24. Area of rectangle = l*b = 40*24 = 960. The Answer is 960

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
Given length and breadth in ration 5:3
Therefore l=5x and b=3x.
2(5x+3x)=128
2(8x) =128
16x = 128
x=8
 l = 5*8 = 40 and b= 3*8 = 24.
 Area of rectangle = l*b = 40*24 = 960.

Answer:

The length and breath of a rectangle are =5:3

perimeter of a rectangle =2×(l+b)

128m =2×(5+3)

128m =2×8

128÷16. =8m²

l=5×8. =40

b=3×8. =24

Area.of rectangle. =l×b=40×24

= 960m²
