\huge\mathcal\color{teal} Solution :-

Given :-

◆ Ratio of length & breadth = 8:4

◆ Owner spent Rs 8000 for surrounding it from all sides at Rs 4 per meter.

☞ We have to find out the difference between it’s length & breadth.

Hence,

• let the breadth be 4x & length be 8x.

• Perimeter of rectangle = 8000/ 4

=2000m

We know,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( l +b)

➱ 2 ( 8x +4x) = 2000

➱ 12x = 1000

➱ x = 83.33 m

Therefore,

Length = 8 * 83.33

=666.67 m

Breadth = 4 * 83.33

= 333.32 m

Hence, difference between length & breadth

= 666.67 - 333.67

= 333.35 m

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

ratio = 8:4

let length be 8x

let breadth be 4x

Cost of surrounding it = Rs.4 per metre

Total cost = Rs. 8000

No. of metres = 8000/4 = 2000 metres

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

                                      = 2 ( 8x+4x)

                                      = 2 * 12x

                                      = 24x = 2000 metres

hence x = 2000/24

difference between length and breadth = 8x - 4x = 4x

hence 4x = 2000 * 4/24 = 333.333
