• Ratio of Length and breadth = 5:3

• Owner spent Rs 6000 for surrounding it from all sides at Rs.7.50 per metre.

• what's the difference between its length and breadth?

Formula to be used :-

• Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Given that,

Ratio of Length and breadth is = 5:3

Let the length be 5x and breadth be 3x.

Now, find the perimeter of the rectangle.

⟶ Perimeter of rectangle

= 6000/7.5

= 800 m

we know,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

⟶ 2(5x + 3x) = 800

⟶ 5x + 3x = 800/2

⟶ 8x = 400

⟶ x = 50

Hence,

Length = 5x = 5 × 50 = 250

Breadth = 3x = 3 × 50 = 150

Therefore,

Difference between length and breadth

= 250- 150

= 100

Hence, Difference between length and breadth is 100.
