Solution :

Given

  • The length and breadth of a rectangular piece of land are in the ratio of 4:3

  • Cost is ₹8400

  • Rate is 30 per m

We need to find the perimeter

  • Perimeter = 8400/30 = 280m

Given the ratio is 4 : 3 so,

  • Let the length be 4x
  • Let the breadth be 3x

We know that

  • Perimeter of land = 2(l + b)

Where,

  • l is length
  • b is breadth

⇢ Perimeter = 2(l + b)

⇢ 280 = 2(4x + 3x)

⇢ 280 = 2(7x)

⇢ 7x = 280/2

⇢ 7x = 140

⇢ x = 140/7

⇢ x = 20

Finding the length and breadth
