Step-by-step explanation:

length=50

breadth=40

perimeter of the land=2(l+b)

p=2(50+40)

p=2(90)

p=180 m

cost of 180m =1440 rupees

for 5 metal wires =1440*5

the cost of fencing the plot=7200 rupees

\sf{Given}\left\{{{\textsf{Length\;of\;a\;rectangular\;plot\;=50m}} \atop\textsf{{\;Breadth\;of\;a\;rectangular\;plot\;=40m}}} \right.\\ \\

\underline{\dag\frak{As\;we\;know\;that}}\\ \\ \\ \star\;\boxed{\sf{Perimeter\;of\;a\;plot\;=\;2(l + b)}}\;\star \\

\implies\sf{Perimeter\;=2(50\;+\;40)}\\ \\ \implies\sf{Perimeter\;=\;2(90)}\\ \\ \implies\sf{Perimeter\;=\;180}\\ \\

Thus,Perimeter of a plot is 180 m.

\\

Wire used for 1 round = Perimeter = 180 m

Wire used for 5 round = 5 × 180

Wire used for 5 round = 900 m

\\

  • Since,Cost of fencing for per metre is Rs.80

\\

Total cost of fencing = 80 × 900

Total cost of fencing = Rs.72,000

\\

  • Therefore,Hence the total cost of fencing a plot is Rs.72,000.
