The length and breadth of a rectangular wall is in the ratio 4:5. If the perimeter is 4m 40cm, find it’s dimensions

Let the ratio be 4x and 5x

perimeter = 4.40m

perimeter of the rectangular wall = 2(l+b)

4.40=2(4x + 5x)

4.40=18x

4.40/18= x

0.24= x

length = 4× 0.24 = 0.96m

breadth= 5× 0.24= 1.2m
