Here the length and breadth of a rectangular floor are given

Length = 12 m

Breadth = 5 m

We have to find the  largest length can be placed on the floor

So, the largest length will be the diagonal

Length of diagonal = \sqrt{length^{2} +breadth^{2} }

                                = \sqrt{12^{2} +5^{2} }

                                = \sqrt{144+ 25 }

                                = \sqrt{169}

                                = 13 m

Hence, the largest length can be placed on the floor will be of 13 m
