The length and breadth of a room are 6m 30 cm and 5m 25 cm. Find the largest rod which can measure the two dimensions of the room exactly.

length of the room = 6m 30cm = 630 cm

breadth of the room = 5m 25cm = 525cm

prime factorization of 630 and 525 cm are as follows:

630 = 2*3*3*5*7

525 = 3*5*5*7

common factors= 3*5*7

H.C.F = 105

hence HCF of 630, 525 is 105

therefore the length of the largest rod is 105 cm which can measure the two dimensions of the room exactly
