The length and breadth of the room is given

Length = 8 m

Breadth = 8m

We have to find the cost of covering the floor with tiles

  • First, we will find the area of the room

       The formula to be  used will be

      Area = length × breadth

               = 8  × 8

               = 64 m²

  • Now, the cost of covering 1 m² is ₹100

      Therefore, the cost of covering 64 m²  = 64 × 100

                                                                      = 6400

The cost of covering the floor with tiles  will be ₹6400

According to the question it is given that,

Length = 8m

Breadth = 8m

As we have to find the cost of the covering floor,

The formula we used for area,

Area = length × breadth

=>8 × 8

=>64m^2

Here, the cost of covering the floor with tiles at the rate of ₹100 per metre square.

Therefore,

=>64*100=6400

Hence, the cost of covering the floor is Rs. 6400
