Solution :-

The length and breath of a tile is 20 cm and 10 cm respectively.

As we know that ,

Area of rectangle = Length * Breath

Put the required values,

Area of rectangle = 20 * 10

Area of rectangle = 200 cm^2

Now, we have to find the area of floor.

The floor of a rectangular room is paved with 5000 tiles.

Therefore,

Area of floor = 200 * 5000

Area of floor = 100000 cm^2

Hence, The area of floor is 100000 cm^2

Question:-

  • The length and breadth of a tile is 20 cm and 10 cm respectively. The floor of a a rectangular room is paved with 5000 tiles. Find the the area off the floor

Answer:-

  • the area off the floor is 1000000 cm²

Given:-

  • length of a tile is 20 cm
  • breadth of a tile is 10 cm
  • no. of tiles paved is 5000 tiles

Solution:-

We know that,

  • => Area of rectangle is L x B

therefore,

  • => Area of each tiles = 20 x 10 = 200cm²

To find the total area , we have to multiply the number of total tiles with single tile area

i.e.,

  • => 200 x 5000 = 1000000 cm²

Hence,

  • the area off the floor is 1000000 cm²
