Hey

Dimensions of rectangle = 12 × 9

It's area = 12× 9

Now ,

base of triangle = 9 cm

Let it's height be h .

A/q

1/2 × 9 × h = 12 × 9 × 1/3

=> h = 4 × 2

=> h = 8cm .

So , height of triangle = 8cm

thanks :)

cmGiven that length of rectangle = 12cm.

Given that breadth of rectangle = 9cm.

We know that Area of rectangle = length * breadth

                                                      = 12 * 9

                                                      = 108cm^3.

Given that Area of the triangle is 1/3rd of the rectangle.

Area of the triangle = 1/3 * Area of the rectangle

                                  = 1/3 * 108

                                  = 36cm^3.

Given that base of triangle = 9cm.

We know that Area of triangle = 1/2 * base * height

                                            36 = 1/2 * 9 * h

                                            72 = 9 * h

                                            h = 72/9

                                               = 8.

Therefore the height of the triangle = 8cm.

Hope this helps!
