The length and breadth of rectangle are 12 cm and 9 cm respectively. Find the side of the square with perimeter equal to the rectangle ​

Given :

  • The length and breadth of rectangle are 12 cm and 9 cm respectively

To find :

  • the side of the square with perimeter equal to the rectangle

Solution :

l = 12

b = 9

4a = 2 (l + b)

4a = 2 (12 + 9)

4a = 2 × 21

4a = 42

a = 42/4

a = 10.5

Extra information :

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h
  • T.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²
  • Volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
  • C.S.A of cone = πrl
  • T.S.A of cone = πrl + πr²
  • Volume of cuboid = l × b × h
  • C.S.A of cuboid = 2(l + b)h
  • T.S.A of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)
