the length and breadth of rectangle field is the ratio 4 is to 3 if the area is 3072 m square find the cost of finishing the field @ rupees 4 per piece

Let the length(l) and Breadth(b) of the Rectangular Field be 4x and 3x respectively.

Area of the Rectangular Field = 3072 m²
                                 ⇒   l × b = 3072
                            ⇒   4x × 3x = 3072
                                       12x² = 3072
                                          x² = 3072/12
                                          x² = 256
                                           x = 16

Thus, Length = 4x
                      = 4 × 16
                      = 64 cm.
        Breadth = 3x
                      = 3 × 16
                      = 48 cm.

Perimeter of the Rectangular Field = 2(l + b)
                                                       = 2(64 + 48)
                                                       = 2 × 112
                                                       = 224 cm.

Thus, the Cost of Finishing the Field =  Perimeter × Rs. 4
                                                           = 224 × 4  
                                                           = Rs. 896

Given :-

The ratio of length and breadth of the given rectangle is 4:3

Let the length and breadth be 4x and 3x .

as area of rectangle = length × breadth

=>3072= 12x^2 =
=> 3072/12=x^2
=> 256=x^2
=>16=x

length = 4x =4×16=64m
and breadth = 3x = 3×16=48m

perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (l + b)
=> 2× (64+48)
=>224m

the cost of finishing the field @ rupees 4/m
=>224×4=Rs896
