Answer:

Another example using this you can doo

Step-by-step explanation:

If length of a rectangle is 10 cm and its perimeter is 22 cm, then find its breadth. Given length, l = 10 cm and perimeter = 22 cm We know that perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l + b) units 22 = 2(10 + b) ⇒ 10 + b = 11 ⇒ b = 1 cm Hence breadth of the rectangle is 1 cm. In general, perimeter of rectangle P = 2(l + b) (P/2) = l + b ⇒ b = (P/2) – l Using above formula also you can directly find the value of breadth

Let, the common multiple of the ratio be, 'x'

So, the length is = (6*x)

                          = 6x

Breadth = (3*x)

             = 3x

By condition,

6x = 80

or, x = (80/6)

or, 3x = (80*3/6)

          = (80/2)

          = 40 cm

So, the breadth is 40 cm.
