Answer:

450m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Length of the swimming pool (Inner rectangle) = 50m
  • Breadth of the swimming Pool Inner rectangle)= 35 m
  • Length of outer rectangle including the path = 50 + 2.5+2.5 = 55m
  • Breadth of the outer rectangle '' '' = 35 + 2.5+2.5 = 40m

To Find:-

Area of Path

Solution:-

area \: of \: outer \: rectangle = l \times b \\ 50 \times 35 = 1750 {m}^{?}  \\ area \: of \: inner \: rectangle = l  \times b \\ 55 \times 40 = 2200 {m}^{?}  \\ area \: of \: path \:  =  \: area \: of \: outer \: rectangle - area \: of \: inner \: rectangle \\ 2200 - 1750 = 450 {m}^{?}

Given that

  • Length of swimming tank=50m
  • Breath of swimming tank=35m
  • There is 2.5m wide road around the tank.

To find

  • Area of road

Solution

Area of PQRS= length ×Breadth

Area of PQRS= 50m×35m

Area of PQRS= 1750m²

Area of ABCD =( 50+2.5+2.5)×(35+2.5+2.5)

Area of ABCD =( 50+5)×(35+5)

Area of ABCD =55×40

Area of ABCD =2200m²

Area of road= Area of ABCD-Area of PQRS

Area of road=2200-1750

  • Area of road=450m²
