Answer:

Cost of fencing the borders is 240 m x cost of fencing the field per meter.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of the field be 3 a

the breadth of the field be 2 a

Formula : Area of rectangular body = length x breadth

∴ Area of the field = 3456 m^2

= >  2a x 3a = 3456 m^2

= >  6a^2 = 3456 m^2

= >  a^2 = 3456 / 6 m^2

= >  a^2 = 576 m^2

= >  a = 24 m

Now,

Length of the field = 3 x ⇒ 3( 24 m ) = 72 m

Breadth of the field = 2 x ⇒ 2( 24 m ) = 48 m

Formula : Perimeter of rectangle = 2( length + breadth )

∴ Perimeter of the field = 2( 72 m + 48 m )

= >  Perimeter of the field 2 x 120 m

= >  Perimeter of the field = 240 m

Cost of fencing the borders = cost of fencing the field per meter x 240 m
