It is given that,

The length and the breadth of the room is in a ratio 7:6.

Let, the common multiple of the ratio be, 'n'.

Hence we get,

Length = (n×7)

           = 7n

Breadth = (n×6)

             = 6n

The length of the breadth of the room is 12 m.

∴ According to the problem,

6n = 12

⇒ n = 12/6

⇒ n = 2m.

∴ The length of the room is = (2×7) m

                                             = 14 m.

∴ The perimeter of the room is = 2(length+breadth)

                                                    = 2×(14+12) m

                                                    = 2×26 m

                                                  = 52 m

∴ The perimeter ofthe room is 52 m.

∴ The area of the room is =(length×breadth)

                                          =(14×12) m²

                                          = 168 m².

∴ The area of the room is 168 m².

Answer:

14m

Step-by-step explanation:

Ratio of length to breadth = 7:6

Breath = 12m

Let the lenght be 7x and lenght be 6x

6x = 12/6= 2

lenght=7x

7x2 = 14m

Threrefore, The lenght is 14 m
