Let the lenght and breadth of the rectangle be 3x and 4x.

Area of rectangle = 6912 sq. cm. = lenght * breadth = 3x * 4x = 12x2

i.e. 6912 = 12x2

x2 = 6912 / 12 = 576, therefore x = square root of 576 = 24.

Therefore dimensions of the rectangle field are 3x and 4x = 3*24 and 4*24 = 72cm and 96cm.
