Solution :

we know that,

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

then,

area of rectangle = (2x + 3y) × (3x - y)

= 2x(3x - y) + 3y(3x - y)

= 6x² - 2xy + 9xy - 3y²

= 6x² - 3y² + 7xy

and

perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

then,

perimeter of rectangle = 2(2x + 3y + 3x - y)

= 2(5x + 2y)

= 10x + 4y

hence, area of the rectangular field is 6x² - 3y² + 7xy and perimeter of the field is 10x + 4y
