Step-by-step explanation:

let length =x and breadth=y

from first condition

x:y=4:3

3x-4y=0...........equation 1

from second condition

x-2:y-4=2:1

x-2=2y-8

x-2y=-8+2

x-2y=-6

2x-4y=-12........equation 2.......multiply by 2

substract equation 2 from 1

x=12

substituting x=12 in equation 2

12-2y=-6

y=9

length =12

breadth =9

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original length and breadth be 4x and 3x respectively.

According to question,

(4x + 2)/(3x - 4) = 2/1

=> 4x + 2 = 6x - 8

=> 2x = 10

=> x = 5

Length = 4x = 20

Breadth = 3x = 15
