As per data given in the question,

We have to determine the value of length and breadth of the rectangle.

As we know that,

The perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Let the length and breadth of rectangle = 5x and 3x respectively.

So,

2(5x+3x) = 128\\=> 2\times 8x = 128\\=> 16x = 128\\=> x = \frac{128}{16} = 8

Hence, length and breadth of rectangle will be,

=5x = 40 \: m \: and \: 3x = 24\: respectively.

Given that:- The ratio for length and the breadth of a rectangular field is 5 : 3.

To find:- Dimensions of the field,

As we know that,

Perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

Let, the length and breadth of the rectangle be 5x and 3x respectively,

Now, plug the given values in the formula,

=>2(5x+3x)=128

=>2*8x=128

=>16x=128

=>x=\frac{128}{16}

=>x=8
