Answer:

1688meters

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

=2(124+87)

=2x211

=422meters

=→422x4

=1688meters

In context to question asked,

We have to determine that, What distance will a person cover if walking around the ground four times

As per question,

We have,

The length and the breadth of a rectangular ground is 124 metres and 87 metres respectively.

As we know that,

If a person is covering the field, it means he is actually the covering the distance of perimeter of that field, as he is walking the outer boundary of the field.

As we know that,

Perimeter of field will be =2(l+b)

So, perimeter of field will be =2(124+87) = 2\times 211 = 422\:meters

As he covers a distance of 422 meter while he take a single round,

So, for covering the 4 round he will covers a distance of =(422 \times 4) =1688\:m
