The length and the breadth of a rectangular park are in the ratio 5 : 3 and its perimeter is 256m, find the area

Answer:

suppose length is =5x

breadth is=3x

therefore perimeter =2(5x+3x)

given

2(5x+3x)=256

=> 16x=256

=> x=256÷16

x=16

length is=5×16=80m

breadth is=3×16=48m

therefore area=length×breadth

=80×48

=3840sq.m
