The length and the breadth of a rectangular plot are 135 m and 65 m. Find, its perimeter and the cost of fencing it at the rate of ₹60 per m.

Given:

Length of a rectangular plot is 135m.

Breadth of a rectangular plot is 65 m.

To Find:

It's perimeter.

Cost if fencing it at the rate of ₹60 per m.

Solution:

Perimeter of rectangular plot

= 2(Length+Breadth)

=> 2(135 + 65)

=> 2(200)

=> 400m

Now according to question :-

Cost of fencing 1m of rectangular plot = Rs. 60 /-

Cost of fencing 400m of rectangular plot

= 60 × 400 = Rs. 24000 /-

Hence, it is the required answer.
