Correct Question :-

The length and the breath of rectangle are 4m and 80 cm. Those of another rectangle are 3m and 60cm. Find the ratio of their perimeters and the ratio of their area.

Solution:-

In the first Rectangle,

  • Length = 4 m = 400 cm
  • Breadth = 80 cm

Formula for Perimeter of the Rectangle :

  • 2 ( L + B )

Therefore,

=> 2 ( 400 cm + 80 cm )

=> 2 × 480 cm

=> 960 cm

Formula for Area of the Rectangle :

  • L × B

Therefore,

=> 400 cm × 80 cm

=> 32000 cm²

In the Another Rectangle,

  • Length = 3 m = 300 cm
  • Breadth = 60 cm

Formula for Perimeter of the Rectangle :

  • 2 ( L + B )

Therefore,

=> 2 ( 300 cm + 60 cm )

=> 2 × 360 cm

=> 720 cm

Formula for Area of the Rectangle :

  • L × B

Therefore,

=> 300 cm × 60 cm

=> 18000 cm²

Now,

Ratio of Perimeter of first rectangle to another rectangle,

=> 960 : 720

=> 4 : 3

Also,

Ratio of Area of first rectangle to another rectangle,

=> 32000 : 18000

=> 16 : 9
