Enlarging a picture will not change its aspect ratio. The ratio of its length to its width is preserved. The original picture is 20 cm by 15 cm and its aspect ratio is 4 : 3. The enlarged picture must be also be in 4 : 3 ratio.

The enlargement factor is 8 : 5 or 1.6 : 1 or 1.6. To get the new dimensions, the length is enlarged 1.6 times and its width is enlarged 1.6 times. The area of the enlarged picture is (1.6)^2 times than the original area of 300 cm^2. This is how it is done mathematically.

20 cm * 1.6 gives 32 cm as the new length.

15 cm * 1.6 gives 24 cm as the new width

The enlarged picture will have a dimension of 32 cm by 24 cm and has an aspect ratio of 4 : 3 also.
