The length and width of a playground in a school is in the ratio 4:3 . If length is 28 meter what would be it's width?​

Given That ;

Ratios :

Length : Width

= 4 : 3

Let ,

The length & width = x

Hence ;

Length of a playground = 4x

Width of a playground = 3x

Also ,

Given that ;

Length of a playground ( 4x ) = 28m

4x = 28

x = 28 / 4

x = 7 m

Hence ;

Width = 3x

Substitute x = 7m :

Width = 3 ( 7 )

Width = 21 m
