Answer:

600 sq.units

Step-by-step explanation:

Ratio of the length and width of the rectangle =  3 : 2

let 'x' be the proportion

=> length , l = 3x    &  breadth, b = 2x

given perimeter of the rectangle =  100 units

ie.,                           2(l+b)              = 100

                                      2(3x+2x)  = 100

                                                10x = 100

                                                     x = 10

so, length l = 3*10 = 30units

and breadth,b =2*10 =20units

therefore, area of the rectangle, l x b = 30*20 sq.units

                                                              = 600 sq.units
