ie 2x=5y

2x-5y=0 (1)

we know that

perimeter of rectangle =2 (length+width)

thus according to second condition

2(x+y)=70

ie x+y=35 (2)

multiplying (2) by 5

we get 5x+5y=175 (3)

adding (1) and (3) we get

5x+5y=175

2x-5y=0

ie 7x=175

hence x=25

thus length of rectangle is 25 m
